Perhaps this time, not on the sea shall we meet

Beyond time, within dimensions where space loses its meaning, they become two atoms.

Names and appearances have dissolved. They wait quietly in the boundless void, like two specks left adrift in the universe. This is the realm of the departed. Chance is their only possibility; motion their only language.

Driven onward, they glide through eternal silence. They are aware of one another, as the universe knows its own void. It is a separated gaze, across walls, shadows, and a longing cast toward darkness.

Until one moment — perhaps pure accident, perhaps a glance cast by some will across infinite possibilities — they converge. An encounter governed by probabilistic cloud‑maps. A tentative probe, a gentle collision. They drift between anticipation, drawing fleeting arcs that bind one to the other. This unforeseen meeting is genuine joy, generously granted by fate after endless waiting.

Resonant tones from beyond dimensions hold the moment fast. Prolonged joy turns cold probability from something hasty and random into something real. Yet all that unfolds must come to an end. Tiny shifts in orbit, minute differences in momentum foreshadow the final outcome. Joy is real, yet it also instills within them the vector of separation.

What will arrive first? Another unexpected encounter, or eternal stillness?Carrying their respective memories, the two atoms keep waiting and gliding through the space of probability.

The distance for reunion shifts amid uncertain gears and the orbits of destiny. Two atoms, unimagined and unimaginable, fold within the ultimate scenes of instant reversal. They can no longer see, nor find one another. Where shall I meet you? At the place where the story was meant to begin, or within the truth where nothing ever happened?
